You're walking down the road trying to find what it is that you're looking for/ it can't be bought it can't be sold, can't be measured by the things we've been told/ if a child can lead the way, are we looking way too hard for the answer?/
The band Daze of Grace consists of:
Sharon Grace Routley (affectionately called Grace by many who know her). She is the singer/songwriter of the band, accompanying herself on the acoustic guitar. The songs are soul-searching; many written in a call and answer form,, such as in the lyrics of the song Love Never Sleeps...
"I go to look in Your eyes, I can't see beyond this place."
"Hey little girl keep your head in the clouds/You'll find something you haven't yet found."
Jubal Daniel Routley
He brings to the table his beautiful soaring ethereal electric lead guitar sounds, adding much to the sonic landscape.
Often joining for live performances is Steve on percussion and hand drums, completing the musical landscape with a rich, earthy vibe.
This bio would not be complete without mentioning the little girl who inspired many of the song lyrics, as well as the artwork seen here, done by Grace. For 15 years, we had the privilege of hanging out with our daughter, and sister Rebekah Grace. Although her life was riddled with hardship and pain, and she was non-verbal, she had the ability to hum one song: "Jesus Loves Me". And with that one song, and her unabandoned Heavenly joy, she spread joy to all who met her.
It gives me great comfort to know she is up there now, Perfectly whole and singing along. We love you, Rebekah!

Those words that You spoke to me, have they all been in vain?/ I've got ragged shoes, ragged coat, ragged hopes/ the writing's on the wall but it's not in my language, what's it all mean?/ but I haven't come all this way just to go back again./

You're walking outside of time, I think I followed you there/I look around I see there's no way back...
Grace wanders down the road, she's looking for a hand to hold/ but she's holding back, waiting for me to welcome her to my arms/"If you look for Me in the morning, I'll be there, if you for for Me in the evening, I'll be there."/
"I go to look in Your eyes, I can't see beyond this place/ I go to look in Your eyes, I can't see beyond this place."/
"Hey little girl, keep your head in the clouds/ you'll find something you haven't yet found."/
I'm just waiting by Your table for the scraps to fall, where's this feast you've prepared for me, I've been waiting here so long/
I hear rumours of glory coming across the sea, how You've made the lame to walk again, you've made blind eyes to see, those living in darkness were finally set free, how
Jubal and Grace jamming to a new song. More lyrics to come, but you've got to start with what you've got:)
This video combines my art with my music.

Daze of Grace is a band, but also a concept. When searching for a band name after sorrow came knocking, I recognized the need to be covered with a bubble of Grace from above. Hence, the name Daze of Grace was born.
We try to take the listener to a place that is Outside of Time, to show the common human struggles of sorrow, but never without the joy that comes in the Morning!
And to try to convey the Great Love from our Maker.
Grace started writing lyrics before she picked up a guitar, and thought, I better catch up! Daze of grace began performing and recording in 2003. Many live performances are melded with Grace's artwork, shown on a screen, as the art and music tell a story together.
Daze of Grace has three albums which are found on any digital platform you prefer.
